Good afternoon Yorkshire…

Hot off the press - updated details for the Mixed Top Club Competition.

We are pleased to announce that Helen Walker will once again preside over the competition and any queries relating to the competition can be directed to her. Im sure most of you will recall the sterling job she did last year alongside her continued other commitments to the YBA....

The Top Club is a fantastic open mixed discipline competition and we welcome both seasoned contenders as well as new entrants competing for the first time (or first time in a long time).

Promoting our wonderful sport is about stepping outside of our comfort zones and finding a balance between Social and Competetive bowling in all clubs at all levels. The general public love nothing more than seeing two teams in club colours battle it out on a sunny afternoon (ok drizzly sunny afternoon). The multi discipline aspect of the competition offers something different for the average obsever and rarely fails to attract onlookers and interested parties.

If you are already sold and wish to learn more:

We ask for all returning and newly entering clubs to familiarise yourselves with the specific changes and suggest that it is advisable to have the new rules available for your fixtures home or away to ensure smooth running. It saves problems listenting to the advice of the wrong expert on the day :-)
